Arguments For:

“So, as the people are on the verge of ending marijuana prohibition in this state, our local law enforcement and County supervisors are weighing down the progress of history, trying to keep their reins on a changing culture that is no longer in their control.” – Frank Gormlie, lawyer and grassroots activist

Arguments Against:

“Proposition 64 purposely omits DUI standard to keep marijuana-impaired drivers off our highways. California Association of Highway Patrolmen strenuously oppose. 64 also Legalizes ads promoting smoking marijuana, Gummy candy and brownies on television shows watched by millions of children and teens. Shows reckless disregard for child health and safety.” – California Hospital Association
